Through September 15 -- "Hooray for the Bay" Contest. Showing your love for the Chesapeake Bay could win you $2,500. To enter, send a picture of one of the 100 Bay Plate Factoids, which are located at parks, schools and community centers around the state, along with a short description of why you love the bay. September 21-October 13 -- AFI Latin American Film Festival at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring.
